4.A. Resolution to Execute a Consent Order & Judgement Be It Resolved that the Board of Education authorizes its attorneys Shaw, Perelson, May & Lambert, LLP to execute a Consent Order and Judgment in a tax certiorari proceeding, Palmer Terrace Cooperative Inc. v. Town of Mamaroneck and the Mamaroneck Union Free School District. Be It Further Resolved, that the Board authorized the refund of taxes as required by the terms of the Consent Order & Judgment
4.B. Resolution for an Out of State Trip for the High School Jazz Band and Swing Choir Recommended Action: that the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to approve the attached out of state trip for the High School Jazz Band and Swing Choir to the National Jazz Festival in Philadelphia PA.
4.C. Resolution for a Memorandum of Understanding with the Rye YMCA RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Mamaroneck Union Free School District hereby approves a Memorandum of Understanding with the Rye YMCA to pursue a grant from the New York State Department of Education (ESD/SVP Grant RFP 2026-31) with a maximum award of $450,000 for an after-school program for elementary and middle school students. The program design will focus on one or more of the following objectives/activities: • Academic Enrichment: implement academic tutoring and/or engaging academic enrichment experiences not offered during the school day to enhance student achievement in core subjects and support individualized learning needs. • Social-Emotional Learning (SEL): help students develop self-awareness, emotional regulation, and positive interpersonal skills. • Arts and Culture: offer engaging programs in art, music, drama or other artistic or cultural pursuit during out-of-school time to foster creativity, self-expression, and cultural appreciation to enrich student learning. • Physical Health and Wellness: promote health and wellness during out-of-school time through organized sports, and/or other fitness and health-focused activities. • Community Engagement: provide activities during out-of-school time that strengthen civic responsibility and foster meaningful connections between students and their communities. • Violence Prevention: implement mentoring programs, conflict resolution programming, and/or other activities that promote positive behaviors in efforts to help prevent school violence and promote a safe school environment.
4.D. Resolution for a Release and Settlement Agreement RESOLVED that the Board of Education does hereby approve the terms of the Release and Settlement Agreement involving Student Number 131100021, a copy of which is hereby incorporated by reference in the minutes of this meeting; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to execute such Release and Settlement Agreement on behalf of the District.
4.E. Resolution for a Release and Settlement Agreement RESOLVED that the Board of Education does hereby approve the terms of the Release and Settlement Agreement involving Student Number 220900009, a copy of which is hereby incorporated by reference in the minutes of this meeting; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to execute such Release and Settlement Agreement on behalf of the District.
